The Jaiwant Salvi Foundation, named after Jaiwant Salvi is an organisation that hopes to embody his spirit. 

 

Jaiwant, a father to three girls and a flight engineer in the air force, was known as a beacon of light. He enwrapped those around him with a cradle of hope and optimism, guiding them to become the best version of themselves with a constant regard for the struggles of reality. He led his three little girls, in a time policed by patriarchy to great lengths professionally, ingraining in them the belief that no ambition is too high, and no goal too enormous to fulfil. He taught them to fight. With him himself taking the first step to carve a place for them in a world determined to disadvantage them, he taught his daughters to be strong, self-reliant and self-sufficient. Such that, once he had carved that initial spot, nothing could stop them from continuing to dig until they saw the light. 

 

At JSF, we aim to honour him by preaching his teachings in real-time. We aim to fight for those who are disadvantaged and carve a place for them in society, then equip them with the tools to keep digging themselves. We do not want to support them forever, instead we want to give them a much greater gift, the ability to support themselves.
